A Kalamazoo school was briefly on lockdown Monday afternoon, after a student reportedly brought an airsoft gun.
Officials with Kalamazoo Public Schools tell us that Parkwood Upjohn Elementary, in Kalamazoo, was on lockdown for about 12 minutes, before Kalamazoo public safety officers investigated the potential threat.
We're told that KDPS got in touch with the school after a concerned parent reported seeing a person with a weapon in the area. Further investigation indicated that the weapon was an airsoft gun, and officers determined there was no threat.
